The Basics
All Team Members (nannies & babysitters) are required to participate in the following screening process:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States with valid identification card

- 16 years of age or older
- Phone Interview
- Live Interview
- Reference Checks
- Background Screening
Background Disclosure
- SSN/Identity verification
- Employment history
- Education history
- Criminal records
- Driving records
- Drug screening
- Reference checks
Qualifications
- Experience: childcare (in-home and/or facility) formal study, education, formal certifications
- Skills: child development, feeding, sleeping, pediatric safety/health knowledge/training, age appropriate care/activities
- Education/Training’s
Team Member Profile
Detailed personal profile that includes childcare background and experience, personal history (education, work experience, long-term goals, lifestyle, personality traits and interests) and employment requests (compensation, benefits etc.)

Team Member Levels
Our level system promotes fair pay based on experience. We work with you to help you graduate to new levels, learn new skills, contribute to our community and earn a fair wage.
Your level reflects your qualifications and experience and helps you determine your hourly rate. You always have the opportunity to graduate to higher levels with access to TCN resources and tools. We succeed when you succeed. We’re in this together!
TEAM MEMBER I
- Age: 16 +
- Valid drivers license
- Minimum education level: 10th grade
- Child care experience as a babysitter or family helper
- Suggested Pay: $9 plus per hour
TEAM MEMBER II
- Age: 16 +
- Valid drivers license
- Minimum education level: 10th grade
- Child care experience as a babysitter working with multiple families
- Suggested Pay: $10-$12 per hour
TEAM MEMBER III
- Age: 18+
- Valid drivers license
- Personal vehicle
- Minimum education level: HS graduate
- Child care experience as a babysitter and/or nanny
- Suggested Pay: $12-$14 plus per hour
TEAM MEMBER LEAD
- Age 19 +
- Valid drivers license
- Personal vehicle
- Minimum education level: college student
- Child care experience as a nanny for multiple families
- Child care experience in a facility
- CPR/First Aid Certified
- Recognized for their exceptional child care background and skills
- Eligible to be assigned as a Team Member, Mentor
- Suggested Pay: $13 plus per hour
Please Note: As a Team Member you are represented as a member of our community, not an employee of Twin Cities Nanny & Sitters, LLC. As a nanny or babysitter your are employed through the family/families that hire you for care. We are not responsible for your payroll, taxes or compensation.
